Supino proposes replacement offer for Le Matin subscribers

Subscribers to the printed edition of the French-speaking Swiss daily Le Matin will receive a replacement offer as of the discontinuation of the printed edition.

As of July 21, you can subscribe to either 24 heures or the Tribune de Genève in printed form at special conditions. Also tokens to receive the printed Sunday newspaper Le Matin Dimanche are part of the replacement offer.

The proposal comes from Tamedia Board Chairman Pietro Supino. He made it on Friday in an interview with Le Matin. He further explained that the newspaper's move to digital distribution was due to too few subscribers.

The publishing house Tamedia announced on Thursday, Le Matin to publish only in digital form as of June 21 and to discontinue the print edition (Werbewoche.ch REPORTED). Le Matin The decision has resulted in the loss of up to 41 jobs. (SDA/hae)
