MySports is the first Swiss TV station to offer an e-sports format

E-sports is becoming increasingly popular. MySports has recognized the potential of gaming sports and is bringing a new TV format to Switzerland. Starting October 23, exclusive episodes of the show "Arena E-Sports" will be shown on the sports channel.

The 30-minute show includes news on developments in the e-sports world and reports on e-sports events worldwide. On Monday, October 23 at 10:00 p.m., the first episode of the British show will be available on the German-language basic channel MySports HD with German dubbing. "E-Sports inspires millions of viewers worldwide. By including e-sports in our programming, we are giving a home to what is currently the fastest growing sport in the world. This makes MySports the first Swiss TV channel to offer e-sports such a platform," enthuses Steffi Buchli, Head of Programming at MySports. "Arena E-Sports" will be broadcast exclusively and will have a fixed slot, weekly on Monday evenings at 10:00 pm.

UPC has been committed to e-sports for some time. In October 2016, for example, the online platform Esports.ch was launched, which reports on developments in the e-sports field with a Swiss focus. The online broadcasts are produced in the E-Studios in Frau Gerold's garden in Zurich.
