In the future, six employees will work in the local newsroom in Aarau, focusing exclusively on local reporting. This was announced on Thursday by Monica Stephani, Head of Corporate Communications, in response to an inquiry. She confirmed a corresponding report by Radio SRF's Regionaljournal Aargau/Solothurn.

AZ Medien announced Wednesday that Florian Wanner will be managing director of Radio Medien as of Oct. 1 (Werbewoche.ch reported). Wanner will thus head Radio 24 and now also Radio Argovia. The 28-year-old is the son of Peter Wanner, publisher of the Aargauer Zeitung.

Thanks to the new organization, synergies could be achieved in the production of national and supra-regional content, said the AZ Medien media release. The editorial teams in Aarau and Zurich would strengthen the regional competence of the radio stations. The teams would focus exclusively on the respective local reporting. (SDA)
