Visual and content facelift for L'illustré

The biggest people magazine in French-speaking Switzerland, L'illustré, presents itself after a general overhaul with a modernized layout and new journalistic focus.

In terms of content, L'illustré now aims to impress with even more journalistic relevance, also thanks to new collaborations with brands such as Bolero, Style and Beobachter. Visually, the focus is on restrained elegance and clear reader guidance.

"The new format is more stylish in its presentation and more relevant in its content than ever before. For example, the cover, the magazine's calling card, has been reduced to a single subject," says L'illustré Editor-in-Chief Michel Jeanneret. "Nevertheless, we remain true to the core of L'illustré: the magazine remains the voice of Suisse romande and will reveal and tell the best stories from the region."

The magazine is also breaking new ground in social media and is increasingly focusing on interaction with its readers and subscribers. For example, L'illustré has launched a Facebook forum specifically for families. The idea: readers help readers with relevant tips and advice. The best recommendations are presented in the magazine.

In terms of content, the magazine offers even more rhythm and density thanks to new short- and long-form formats. The texts have been structured more clearly for better reader guidance. The focus is now on three new topics:

  • Current people topics in the form of a "news aperitif", enriched with commentaries and columns
  • Social topics in the form of in-depth reports from the region, exclusive interviews with French-speaking Swiss personalities, portraits, current dossiers, surveys
  • Advice content in the form of tips and recommendations produced in cooperation with the popular magazine Beobachter
