Youtube Live is aimed at viewers who "want to watch what they want, when they want, how they want - with no obligation," the head of the video service, which is part of the Google Group, Susan Wojcicki, said Tuesday.

Accordingly, users can watch channels such as ABC, CBS, Fox and NBC via Internet-enabled devices, just like sports channels or other cable programs. Youtube Live also offers its users access to original series from Youtube, which were previously distributed via Youtube Red. Youtube TV is scheduled to launch in the next few months and will cost $35 per month. For this, six user accounts can be created per subscriber.

It can be watched on small smartphone screens as well as on large TVs if they have a Chromecast stick for streaming. It should also be possible to record shows on servers in the Internet cloud so that they can be watched later.(SDA)
