Christmas stamps
Swiss Post is issuing a special stamp on the theme of "Christmas" in November 2016. In collaboration with Ludek Martschini, a series with four subjects was developed.
The subjects show classic motifs from the winter and Christmas season, which are drawn with a clear and simple stroke in the winter snow.
Thanks to Martschini's good working relationship with those responsible at Swiss Post CH, agreement was reached very quickly on the style and motifs, according to a statement.
This representative work is a stroke of luck for illustrator and graphic artist Ludek Martschini from Lucerne, as the Swiss Post stamps are attracting nationwide attention. From 17 November 2016 (issue date), the stamps will be valid for postage and available at post offices throughout Switzerland.
