Karin Carpentier leaves the NZZ Media Group

Karin Carpentier, Head of Sales at NZZ Media Group, is leaving the company at her own request to take on new professional challenges.

Karin Carpentier took over the management of the newly founded NZZ Media Solutions AG in September 2014 and at the same time became a member of the management of the NZZ Media Group. At the beginning of 2015, she transferred the advertising sales activities formerly handled by Publicitas to the NZZ Media Group's own management.

It succeeded in building up a central sales organization in a very short time, which not only grew faster than the market in digital marketing, but also achieved better results than the comparable Swiss market as a whole in the particularly challenging print advertising market, according to a company statement on Thursday. It also founded the new digital advertising marketing company audienzz during this period, paving the way for even faster growth in digital marketing, it said.

A decision on Karin Carpentier's successor will be made in the next few months. On an interim basis, Karin Carpentier will hand over the management of advertising sales to Steven Neubauer, Head of NZZ Media, and Jürg Weber, Head of Regional Media, at the end of June. Until the fall, she will still be available to CEO of the NZZ Media Group Veit Dengler for a strategic project.
