World Press Photo 16: Organizers are "extremely satisfied".

Around 6400 people visited this year's exhibition of the world's best press photos in Zurich. The organizer, the Keystone photo agency, is extremely satisfied with the event and the response to it.

The pictures were on display at the Folium in Zurich from May 5 to 29. A special highlight was the opening speech by Kathy Gannon, Keystone announced on Monday. The long-time correspondent of the Associated Press in Afghanistan and Pakistan shed light on the difficult situation of modern photojournalism. According to the organizer, the photographs of last year's events and stories - especially the winning picture by Australian Warren Richardson - gave rise to lively discussions and left an impression. Keystone presented the exhibition for the ninth time in Zurich. (SDA)
