Energy knocks Radio 24 off its throne

According to the Sonntagszeitung, Radio 24, Switzerland's oldest private radio station, has lost the title of Switzerland's highest-reach private radio station for the first time in its 32-year history.

The newspaper bases this on the as yet unpublished listener figures published this week by Mediapulse. According to these figures, Radio 24 reached just under 275,000 people from Monday to Friday in the second half of 2015, while Energy, the competitor from Ringier, has around 286,000 listeners. The station has belonged to AZ Medien since 2011. (hae/Sonntagszeitung)
