Teletext appears in a new form

From December 2, 2015, the teletext of Swiss Radio and Television (SRF), Radiotelevisione svizzera (RSI) and Radio Télévision Suisse (RTS) will appear with a new page structure.

According to the press release, the revised Teletext has a more orderly and user-friendly structure. The sections have been adapted and reorganized, and some content has more pages. Nevertheless, Teletext remains true to its motto "The most important things in a nutshell". Top news from all areas can now be found from page 100, while the sports section has 100 pages more space for results and, as before, starts from page 180. The weather report can now be viewed from page 500, the TV program together with subtitles from page 700 and the traffic section from page 800. For easier orientation, each section is assigned a color. As there are no longer any subpages, content can be accessed directly and therefore more quickly. With the changeover, some non-journalistic teletext content will be discontinued. An overview of the new page numbers can be found on Teletext page 598 and from December 2nd on Teletext page 101.
