Marc Jäggi back at Radio 1

The 39-year-old radio man Marc Jäggi is returning to Radio 1 from Radio 24. There, he will take turns presenting the morning show with Dani Wüthrich and sit on the management team as Chief Innovation Officer (CIO).

In a statement, Marc Jäggi justifies his return to Radio 1 with the station's potential: "The highly exciting 35+ target group is criminally neglected by many radio stations in the Zurich area. As CIO (Chief Innovation Officer), one of my tasks will be to make the Radio 1 brand even more attractive to this growing, interesting target group and to open up new opportunities for the advertising market." In addition, he said, Schawinski offers him not only a great team and a long-term perspective, but also an environment he is already familiar with, which makes innovation and quick decisions possible. "We are in the digital revolution. Openness, creativity and flexibility are more important for survival today than ever before."

Roger Schawinski: "With Marc Jäggi, one of the defining figures of the Swiss radio landscape is returning to us. That makes me happy. In his new role, he will help us position our two stations - Radio 1 and Planet 105 - even better in the rapidly changing media landscape."

Marc Jäggi was a founding member of Radio 1 in 2008 and helped shape the station for six years as a presenter and morning show host. In May 2014, Radio 24 brought him on as program director (Werbewoche.ch reported).
