US video service Netflix launched in Switzerland

The US video service Netflix has launched in Switzerland. The company announced this on the short message service Twitter shortly after midnight on Thursday.

"Grüezi! Netflix is now also in Switzerland," wrote the video streaming service. The company had already launched its service in Germany on Tuesday night. Monthly subscriptions are available in Switzerland from CHF 11.90, as can be seen on the Netflix website.
Netflix offers a video streaming service where films and series are played directly from the internet for a monthly subscription fee. In the USA, Netflix is the top dog in this business, partly due to series it has produced itself such as "Orange is the New Black" and "House of Cards".

Netflix is also launching in Austria, France, Belgium and Luxembourg in its current round of expansion in Europe. (SDA)
