NZZ Group sells Prisma Medienservice

Swiss Post is buying the delivery organization Prisma from the St. Galler Tagblatt, which belongs to the NZZ media group. According to information provided on Monday, nothing will change for the time being for around 1100 employees, most of whom work there on a 10 or 20 percent workload.

Swiss Post is buying the delivery organization via its subsidiary Direct Mail Company (DMC) as of 1 October. The seller and buyer are not disclosing the purchase price. The NZZ Group justified the sale by stating that it wanted to concentrate on its core business. The Swiss Post subsidiary DMC intends to run Prisma as a subsidiary until the end of the year and then integrate it into the company. In this way, Swiss Post intends to consolidate its position in direct marketing. The takeover will have no direct impact on employees and customers or on Prisma's existing orders, according to the statement. Prisma is based in St. Gallen and delivers newspapers and printed matter. Its services also include direct marketing services. It is active in Eastern Switzerland, Graubünden and Liechtenstein as well as in the Lucerne region. (SDA)
