World Press Photo 13 with new record attendance

The World Press Photo 13 exhibition in Zurich came to an end on Sunday. The best press photos in the world presented by Keystone attracted more visitors to the Folium in Sihlcity this year than ever before.

During the approximately three-week exhibition at the Folium, 6'368 visitors viewed the approximately 160 award-winning images, according to the statement, and were thus able to review the worldwide events of the past year. World Press Photo 13 is thus the most successful of the six editions presented in Zurich for Keystone. The photographs - especially the winning image by Swedish photographer Paul Hansen - gave rise to lively discussions and left a lasting impression on many a visitor. The guided tours through the exhibition with Nicole Aeby, Freelance Photography Consultant, and Lea Truffer, Picture Editor, gave participants another in-depth look at the work of press photographers and proved extremely popular.

The two fringe events with renowned photographers were also well attended: American Eugene Richards presented his work "War is Personal," which documents fates tied to the war in Iraq. Swiss Christian Lutz spoke about his photographic exploration of the theme of power. Keystone is thus extremely satisfied with the success of the entire event this year and would like to thank the Leading Partners Canon and Baumann & Cie, Banquiers as well as the media partners NZZ am Sonntag and Persönlich for their support. The organizer is already looking forward to presenting World Press Photo again next year.
