Viva Switzerland launches on October 1, 2012

Viacom International Media Networks Northern Europe is expanding in the Swiss market and will launch Viva Schweiz (Viva CH) on October 1, 2012. From the same date, Goldbach Media will be responsible for the complete marketing of Viacom's portfolio in Switzerland.

The music and entertainment channel will show well-known and popular formats from the German and international portfolio such as 180°, Game One, Vivapedia or Futurama, as well as focusing on local Swiss tastes with music tracks and formats such as the Viva Schweiz Top 20. Goldbachmedia wrote this in a statement on Friday. Further formats are currently being planned. The local taste in music is to play a major role. The proportion of Swiss artists is to be up to 20 percent.

The new station will be marketed via Goldbach Media. Goldbach Media will also be responsible for the complete marketing of the entire Viacom portfolio of all Viacom brands on the Swiss market from October 1: From TV, to online and brand solutions, to on-the-ground measures. Previously, the marketer was responsible for Viacom International Media Networks' local TV stations in Austria and Switzerland.
