NZZ: Stefan Bai takes over as Head of Advertising Market

The Media Zurich division of the NZZ Media Group is reorganizing: The division will remain under the leadership of CEO Albert P. Stäheli. The new Head of Advertising Market and member of the Executive Board will be Stefan Bai.

The NZZ Media Group is reorganizing responsibilities in the Zurich publishing division as of July 1, 2012, according to a statement on Friday. The Media Zurich division will remain under the direct management of the CEO Albert P. Stäheliwho has held this dual mandate on an interim basis since the beginning of the year. The previous function of Head of Publishing Houses Zurich will be abolished. Marius Haggerwho has held this position since the end of 2010, is therefore leaving NZZ AG by mutual agreement.

The former Advertising Market department, which reported directly to the Head of Publishing and was headed by Bernt Maulaz will be integrated into NZZ Media, which will operate under the proven leadership of Walter Vontobel will be expanded accordingly. In particular, two proven specialists will take up their new positions at NZZ Media by the end of June. Evi Bossard will be responsible for the Magazines Division as Advertising Manager. She was most recently Head of Crossmedia at AZ Medien and has been in the industry since 2001. The Newspaper Division will now be headed by Daniel Truttmann who has held various positions in the media industry since 1991. In 2002, for example, he successfully introduced the NZZ am Sonntag to the advertising market as advertising manager.

The new Head of Advertising Market and Member of the Executive Board of the Media Zurich Division with immediate effect will be Stefan Bai (pictured above). Bai was previously responsible for the German-speaking part of Switzerland at Publicitas. In addition to the sites in Zurich, Basel, Aarau and Bern, this region also includes NZZ Media and the Publicitas branches in St. Gallen and Lucerne, which are responsible for marketing the title portfolio of St. Galler Tagblatt and Neue Luzerner Zeitung.
