SDA back in the black

In 2010, the parent company SDA had still posted a negative Ebit of 716'000 francs. In addition to consolidating the economically driven reorganization, SDA last year refreshed its image with a new corporate design and developed a new modular tariff and offer system, according to the SDA annual report.

The number of notifications produced in the three national languages German, French and Italian in the basic service decreased by 1.2 percent to around 176'500. The headcount in full-time equivalents fell by not quite 3 jobs to 153.8.

At Group level, Sports Information (Si) and the participations contributed to an improvement in the result. Although Group sales fell by 4.0 percent to 35.36 million Swiss francs, Group profits rose by 16.5 percent to 1.04 million Swiss francs. The SDA Group holds stakes in the PR service provider News Aktuell (Switzerland), the picture agency Keystone, the financial news agency AWP and the IT service provider SDA Informatik.
