Wage negotiations CBA Swiss Post: social partners have reached agreement

The negotiating delegations of Swiss Post and the trade unions Syndicom and Transfair have reached an agreement in the salary negotiations for 2012. They agreed on a general wage increase of 1 percent for staff under the Swiss Post CEC.

All employees will also receive a one-off payment of CHF 500. In addition, 0.8 percent will be used to reward individual performance. The decision-making bodies of the three social partners still have to approve this result. Swiss Post announced this in a press release on Tuesday.

After two rounds, the negotiating delegations reached the following detailed agreement:
- Staff covered by the Swiss Post CEC will receive a general pay rise of 1 percent next year.
- In addition, all employees will receive a one-off payment of CHF 500 for their good performance in 2011.
- Due to the good performance in the current year, 0.8 percent of the payroll will also be used for individual performance-related remuneration. A large proportion of the staff in the Swiss Post CEC benefit from this.

These wage measures affect around 35,000 employees who are subject to the Swiss Post collective employment contract. The negotiations for the staff of Post Auto, Post Logistics and Secure Post have not yet been concluded.

Decision-making bodies still have to approve
The decision-making bodies of Swiss Post and the trade unions still have to approve the outcome of the negotiation delegations. At Swiss Post, this is the Board of Directors, at Syndicom it is the Swiss Post sector committee and at Transfair it is the sector assembly.
