Best of Swiss Web 2012: The entry is open

Entries are now open for the twelfth Best of Swiss Web Award. The call for entries runs until January 9, 2012, and projects can be submitted in a total of ten categories.

Projects are sought in the following nine categories

- Digital Performance Campaigns
- Digital Branding Campaigns
- Technology
- Innovation
- Creation
- Business Efficiency
- Online marketing
- Usability
- Public Affairs

The tenth category, the special category 2012, is dedicated to "Silver Surfers". The search is on for the best Swiss website for older people over 60 in the category "Silver Surfer - Ctrl, Alt, Delete?

Projects from all areas can be submitted: from digital marketing campaigns, intra- or extranet solutions to information and knowledge platforms of public institutions. Of course, topics such as crowd sourcing, social collaboration and user empowerment are also included. This category is judged in particular on the originality of the idea and the consistency of its implementation in terms of presentation, content relevance and functionality. In a multi-stage judging process, a jury awards the best entries with the Best of Swiss Web gold, silver and bronze seals. The very best projects are also nominated for the Master of Swiss Web - the supreme discipline of the Best of Swiss Web Award. The Master is awarded to the most outstanding of all the projects entered, the one that convinces the jury, audience and Netzwoche readers the most overall and across several categories.

Conditions of participation

Both producers and clients of web and mobile projects are eligible to participate in the Best of Swiss Web Award. These projects must have gone online in 2011 or have been produced in their essential parts during this period. Entry is subject to a fee. Learn more about the conditions of participation here.

The Award Night

The twelfth Best of Swiss Web Award Night will take place on March 29, 2012, as part of a celebration at the Kongresshaus in Zurich. At the annual award ceremony, Best of Swiss Web winners, e-business decision-makers and Internet makers will meet to celebrate and network.
