SRG and Solothurn Film Festival: Competition for young filmmakers launched
SRG and the Solothurn Film Festival, which will take place from January 19 to 26, 2012, are organizing a competition for young Swiss filmmakers for the first time under the title "Upcoming Lab."
The theme of the competition, held for the first time by SRG and the Solothurn Film Festival, is "Die Schweizermacher - das Remake". The procedure: Young filmmakers draw inspiration from Rolf Lyssy's classic film "Die Schweizermacher" from 1978. The young filmmakers upload their short films of 60 seconds duration - remakes or parodies - to the Internet portals Fresh film of Swiss Radio and Television (SRF) and Moncinema by Radio Télévision Suisse (RTS). The audience can rate the films online via these platforms until January 24, 2012. The three jury members with Rolf Lyssy will select the winner and award the jury prize of 2,500 Swiss francs. The most popular short film will be rewarded with an audience prize of 1000 Swiss francs. The best and most original entries from Frischfilm will be broadcast in the SF cultural formats "Sternstunden," "CH-Filmszene" and "Box Office.
