Petra Jenner takes over management of Microsoft Switzerland

Petra Jenner is taking over the management of Microsoft Switzerland with immediate effect. In her role as Country General Manager of Microsoft Switzerland, she succeeds Peter Waser, who took over as Head of the Services Division of Microsoft Western Europe at the beginning of October.

Before moving to Microsoft Switzerland, Petra Jenner managed Microsoft's Austrian subsidiary. Having been announced as Country General Manager ad interim of Microsoft Switzerland at the beginning of September 2011, her appointment is now definitive. In her new role, she reports directly to Klaus Holse, Vice President Microsoft Western Europe.

In her new role as Country General Manager of Microsoft Switzerland, she manages around 550 employees. She is also responsible for maintaining and further expanding the Microsoft Switzerland partner network. This includes 750 certified business partners, 5250 sales partners and 14,000 certified product and solution specialists.

Petra Jenner brings with her over 20 years of experience in the IT industry. Before she took over the management of Microsoft Austria at the beginning of 2009, she worked in leading positions for internationally active software companies in Central and Northern Europe. These include companies such as Check Point Software, Informix Software, Sybase and Pivotal Corporation. Microsoft Switzerland wrote this in a press release on Tuesday. Petra Jenner has proven knowledge in the areas of CRM business solutions, database software as well as infrastructure, security and network technology. She also excelled in the support and further development of the partner network.
