Media Focus: More advertising in August

Advertising activity in Swiss media continued to increase in August. According to the market researchers at Media Focus, advertising pressure rose by 12.6 percent compared with the same month last year.

At official rates, 312.8 million Swiss francs worth of advertising was thus placed, as Media Focus announced on Thursday. The figures include advertising via the press, television, radio, billboards, digital advertising spaces, cinema, teletext and the Internet. In the first eight months of 2011, advertising print increased by 7 percent year-on-year to 2.766 billion francs. (SDA)
