Keystone: World Press Photo exhibition in Zurich
On Thursday, numerous guests attended the opening of the World Press Photo 11 exhibition at Sihlcity in Zurich at the invitation of the Keystone photo agency. The exhibition is open to the public until June 5, 2011.
In February, the World Press Photo of the Year 2010 of the 54th World Press Photo Contest was chosen in Amsterdam. The winner is Jodi Bieber from South Africa. The photo shows a young Afghan woman, Bibi Aisha, who was mutilated as punishment for fleeing her husband. It reflects the situation of many women in Afghanistan and caused lively discussions among the guests, according to a communiqué on Friday. The other award-winning works also captivated the viewers.
