Swiss Photo Award with 40 percent more entries
Compared to the previous year, the Swiss Photo Award - ewz.selection has received over 40 percent more submissions. The photo award thus counts 680 submissions with more than 5,100 pictures. The Photo Award is being held for the 13th time this year.
The Preview Day on February 10 in Zurich will show all entries for the Swiss Photo Award - ewz.selection and the vfg Young Talent Award. For the first time, the event will be held at two locations due to the large number of participants, according to a press release: The entries for the Swiss Photo Award - ewz.selection in Fashion, Architecture, Advertising, Fine Art and Free will be on display at the ewz substation in Selnau, while those in the category Editorial Photography
as well as the works of the 15th vfg Young Talent Award in the event hall Media Campus at Baslerstrasse.
The Swiss Photo Award - ewz.selection is endowed with a total prize money of 45,000 Swiss francs. It will showcase the 18 best photographic works in Switzerland in the exhibition in May. The award ceremony will take place on May 20, 2011 at the ewz Unterwerk Selnau in Zurich as part of a Night of Swiss Photography.
