Wiler Nachrichten: Inge Staub becomes editor-in-chief

Inge Staub, 50, will become the new editor-in-chief of the free weekly newspaper Wiler Nachrichten on December 1, 2008. Staub has worked in various departments for the neue Luzerner Zeitung for the past seven years, most recently as head of the business editorial department.

The 50-year-old Inge Staub will become the new editor-in-chief of the free weekly newspaper Wiler Nachrichten on December 1, 2008, the publishing house Zehnder Verlag announced on Tuesday. Staub has worked in various departments for the Neue Luzerner Zeitung for the past seven years, most recently as head of the business editorial department. Previously, she headed the "Lucerne Region" and "Religion and Society" departments.
According to the press release, the Wiler Nachrichten has 69,000 Wemf-certified readers and this year has seen a "noticeable increase in advertising". For this reason, the editorial team, which previously consisted of five men, will now be supplemented with a female editor-in-chief.
