Scholtysik & Partner accompanies rebranding of Zurich Brickworks

ZZ Wancor tritt neuerdings wieder unter dem ursprünglichen Namen Zürcher Ziegeleien – kurz ZZ – auf. Scholtysik & Partner hat das Rebranding und die Neupositionierung der Marke begleitet.

Under the umbrella of its new owner Swisspor, heavy clay manufacturer ZZ Wancor is returning to its original name: Zürcher Ziegeleien, or ZZ for short. The Zurich agency accompanies the name change and repositioning as an independent member of the swisspor family, develops the brand design and supports the launch of the new, but at the same time familiar brand.

Positioned for growth

Builders and architects are looking for naturalness. Because with the increasing health and environmental awareness of the Swiss population, the demands on indoor climate and ecology are rising. Interest in clay as a building material is growing accordingly. Michael Fritsche, Managing Director of Zürcher Ziegeleien, explains the advantages: "Brick can breathe and makes rooms more comfortable. At the same time, our bricks, roof tiles and facade panels are local natural products, completely free of pollutants and sustainable. Besides, bricks are excellent at storing heat. We see real growth potential here and Scholtysik & Partner is helping us to exploit this potential."

Radically simple design

ZZ addresses on the one hand architects with their high demand for design and innovation. And on the other hand to builders and roofers with their desire for performance and reliability. Patrick Alexander, Head of Marketing and Communications, sees both target groups ideally addressed: "In design, Scholtysik & Partner hits the sweet spot where our target groups find themselves. I receive positive feedback throughout: the building professionals appreciate the strength and also the respect for tradition. Architects recognize Swiss minimalism and the courage to take an uncompromising stance."

Future in the Swisspor Group

ZZ is already known today for its system guarantee and its wide range of products for roofs, walls and facades, including photovoltaics and insulation. However, the cooperation within the Swisspor Group should open up new opportunities here.
