Valérie Henzen leaves 20 Minuten - Marketing repositions itself

Valérie Henzen, Chief Marketing Officer and member of the Executive Board of 20 Minuten, has decided to leave the company at the end of January 2022 after eight years in order to establish her own consultancy for project management. As a result, the marketing department will be restructured at the beginning of February 2022.

The Cooperations, Events & Entertainment team moves to the Commercial Content unit under the overall leadership of Annina Flückiger, Chief Commercial Content Officer and member of the Executive Board. The Commercial Content area will be expanded to include the "Live Experience" component. Commercial partnerships and own formats in the event and entertainment sector will be expanded. In combination with the products of Commercial Publishing, customers will be offered a new 360-degree concept that provides enhanced storytelling, customized rides and targeted sponsorship opportunities, such as the 20 Minuten Festival or the new fan trips. As before, Sabrina Garrn, Head of Cooperations, Events & Entertainment, will remain in charge.

Marketing Communications is now part of the Product division, under the overall management of Sven Ruoss, Chief Product Officer and member of the Executive Board. Under the leadership of Franziska Wiesner, Head of Marketing & Communications, an additional function of Digital Marketing Manager will be created. Marketing Communications already works very closely with the Product department to implement campaigns, such as the recent one for 20 Minuten's new SmartTV app, and will also be responsible for the entire branding of 20 Minuten in the future.

Valérie Henzen joined 20 Minuten in marketing in 2013. Most recently, she served as Team Lead of Product Management before the marketing graduate was promoted to Chief Marketing Officer at the beginning of 2020 and became a member of 20 Minuten's Executive Board. In this role, she drove forward the development and positioning of the 20 Minuten brand in particular and successfully implemented the brand redesign. Valérie Henzen was also responsible for the successful launch of the member platform "My 20 Minuten".
