The board of directors of Engadin St. Moritz Tourism ESTM unanimously appointed Tina Boetsch, a native of Basel, as the new CEO, the tourism organization wrote in a statement on Wednesday. Boetsch was born in 1976, studied economics at the University of St. Gallen and later earned a doctorate. She started her professional career at the former Swissair and was subsequently responsible for product development at airports worldwide in marketing at Swiss.

"With Tina Boetsch, we can strengthen our successful three-member management team as desired," says Chairman of the Board of Directors Kurt Bobst. In view of the strategic reorientation of ESTM, but also as a consequence of the Corona crisis, it had become necessary to strengthen the operational management.

Before joining Lindt & Sprüngli, Tina Boetsch was a member of the Executive Board at Maestrani Schokoladen in Flawil, where she headed the Business Development department. At Lindt & Sprüngli, at the Group's headquarters in Kilchberg, she was responsible for setting up the Foundation's Chocolate Competence Center business unit with the new "Lindt Home of Chocolate" visitor center, which was recently inaugurated.

Chairman Bobst is convinced that Tina Boetsch has the ideal qualifications to "implement the overall tourism strategy for the Upper Engadine, manage tourism development projects and build up stakeholder management" together with the management and the entire team.

The ESTM Board of Directors has come to the conclusion that the three-member management team should be strengthened by an external CEO in order to successfully master the challenges of the future and the complex Corona situation. (pd/swi)
