From 16 to 19 September 2021, the second edition of the Destination Future Biennalethe only sustainability biennial in Switzerland. The Biennale is a festival for a future worth living in the Upper Rhine region. In the longer term, it strives for changes in our own everyday lives as well as for social coexistence and economic activity - in line with the UN's Sustainable Development Goals.
From the Tiny House Experience in Basel to urban art, from the Future Convention at the University of Basel to the X-Days, the working world of tomorrow in the new Baloise Park: the Biennale presents itself centrally and across borders, artistically and scientifically, and is aimed both at the public and at a specialist audience. The path to sustainability is multifaceted and has many faces.
Elaborate communication concept
Mjm.cc from Münchenstein and Cr Basel also want to show these faces with their jointly developed communication measures. Complex content and dilemmas that everyone knows from dealing with their own behaviour in relation to sustainability are best conveyed with openness and personal statements. Set in a yellow frame, which takes up the corporate colour of the Biennale and thus gives the Biennale its "yellow thread", the people from the region become ambassadors of the event and its themes.
The Ziel Zukunft Biennale is initiated by the Basel NGO Sun21. Partners and sponsors of the Biennale include the Canton of Basel-Stadt, the Christoph Merian Foundation, Regio Basiliensis, the City of Weil am Rhein, the University of Basel, the European Environment Foundation, Upper Rhine Cluster for Sustainability Research, the Baloise Group and Sun21.
