Jura CEO and University of Vienna researcher honored at the Swiss Brand Congress

This year's Swiss Brand Congress held on Wednesday at The Dolder Grand Zurich attracted a record number of over 650 participants. At the meeting place for pioneers and visionaries in the marketing and research landscape, Jura CEO Emanuel Probst and Melanie Cleg from the University of Vienna were honored for their outstanding achievements.

Jura triumphs with visionary marketing strategy

Emanuel Probst, CEO of Jura coffee machines, was honored with the "Marketing Thought Leader Award 2024". The man from Solothurn conquered the global market with his fully automatic coffee machines and has managed to turn them into a status symbol for well-off households. With innovative marketing, a clear focus on fully automatic coffee machines and an extreme concentration on his own core competencies, Probst has built Jura into a leading supplier worldwide. Last year, Jura achieved a turnover of 658.3 million Swiss francs.

Swiss Research Award for the University of Vienna

The "Rigor & Relevance Research Award 2024" went to Melanie Cleg from the University of Vienna for her research in the field of consumer perception of algorithms and artificial intelligence. Her studies show how companies can optimize communication about AI-supported and self-learning products in order to better address consumers and build trust. These findings are particularly valuable at a time when technological innovations and artificial intelligence are playing an increasingly important role in consumers' everyday lives.

The two awards are presented annually by the Swiss Academy of Marketing Science as part of the Swiss Brand Congress. The "Thought Leader Award" recognizes forward-thinking marketing. The "Rigor & Relevance Research Award" is presented to top researchers for relevant research.
