These are the winners of the Swiss Packaging Award 2023

On Thursday evening, eight companies were honored with the Swiss Packaging Award 2023 at an awards ceremony in AHAarau. The evening was moderated by Monika Erb together with jury president Stefan Jüde.

A total of 48 packaging solutions were submitted by 34 different participants. The sustainability category was again particularly well represented with 27 submissions, reflecting the demands of the times: packaging companies must develop recyclable and reusable packaging. And the large number of submissions shows that the Swiss packaging industry is tackling these challenges with pioneering solutions.

The jury's special prize for a packaging solution was awarded to Vetropack for the solution "Echovai: World's first returnable bottles made of thermally tempered lightweight glass". The Audience Award, sponsored by the Empack packaging trade fair, went to Mibelle for its packaging solution "From ocean plastic to cult bottle - cell phone meets #tide ocean material". The consumers vote for the audience award, not the jury.

SVI Managing Director Andreas Zopfi referred to the high innovative strength of the Swiss packaging industry and congratulated the industry on a progressive and goal-oriented path to sustainable packaging solutions. The winners of the Swiss Packaging Award automatically qualify for participation in the World Star Award of the World Packaging Organization.
