The Best of Swiss Apps mobile software award enters its eleventh year with new sponsoring partner Ti&m. More than 600 employees work for the IT service provider worldwide in offices in Switzerland, Germany and Singapore.

Promoting young talent is firmly anchored in Ti&m's values. For over ten years, Ti&m has been aiming to get children excited about IT with its "hack an app" IT youth development program. During four-day courses, they develop their own app with the help of Ti&m employees and thus immerse themselves in the fascinating world of technology in a playful way. Over 2,000 children have now taken part in the youth development program.

In order to get even more children interested in IT, Ti&m has launched the "hack an app" award together with Best of Swiss Apps. It honors the best app created by children between the ages of 11 and 14.

At the Best of Swiss Apps Award Night, Ti&m presents the winners of "hack an app". "We depend on competent professionals. 'hack an app' is an outstanding initiative that brings young people closer to the Swiss tech industry in a playful yet serious way. We are proud to be able to make our contribution with Best of Swiss Apps," says Heinrich Meyer, Managing Director of Best of Swiss Web.

Set quality standards

The Best of Swiss Apps" Award annually honors outstanding apps - mobile apps and web apps - that have been commissioned by Swiss companies or developed for Swiss companies. In doing so, Best of Swiss Apps aims to set quality standards and shines the spotlight on the Swiss app, software and mobile industry.

Around 50 jurors in eleven competition categories review the submitted projects. Each jury evaluates the submitted projects according to various category-specific criteria developed together with experts. There are gold, silver and bronze medals to be won, as well as the Master of Swiss Apps, which was won by Milk Interactive for Teena in 2022. (Werbewoche.ch reported).

The closing date for all projects is August 28, 2023. The awards ceremony will take place on October 26 at a festive gala in Zurich's Kongresshaus.
