Swiss Packaging Award 2023: Submission is extended

Companies have until February 19 to enter their innovative projects in the race for the most prestigious prize in the Swiss packaging industry.

Instead of the end of January, applications for the most prestigious prize in the Swiss packaging industry are now open until February 19. Companies can enter innovative packaging, packaging aids, displays (product-carrying systems, presentation elements) as well as packaging and packaging systems that have been developed, designed, manufactured or distributed by Swiss companies or individuals or by foreign companies or individuals that have introduced their entry to the Swiss market. Several packages may be submitted per entrant. Submissions are possible online.

Young talents are also called upon to enter their packaging ideas in the Swiss Packaging Award: For pupils and students, participation is free of charge. They will be judged by the jury in the corresponding category. The prerequisite is that the products have not been launched on the market.

Eight awards to win

The Swiss Packaging Award is presented in the categories: Sustainability, Convenience, Design, Marketing, Technology / Construction / Machine Systems. In addition, there will be the Young Talent Award and the Audience Award as special categories. For the first time, the Special Jury Prize will be awarded. Here, the members of the jury will award prizes for what they consider to be outstanding entries. Packaging of all materials is eligible for the competition. The focus is on promoting and honoring holistic packaging solutions, regardless of the packaging material. A jury of 16 experts nominates up to three packages per category in a judging process lasting two days, from which a winner is chosen.

The winner of the audience award is not decided by a jury of experts, but by consumers: they use e-voting to select their favorite packaging of the year. A very special award for the participating companies! The public vote will take place from February 15 to April 15, 2023, with the award ceremony on June 1.
