Starting signal for the Swiss Packaging Award 2023
The entry window for the Swiss Packaging Award 2023 is open. The most innovative packaging in eight different categories is being sought. Interested parties can register until mid-January.
The Swiss Packaging Institute SVI has given the go-ahead for the Swiss Packaging Award 2023 set. Eligible for submission are innovative packaging, packaging aids, displays as well as packaging and packaging systems that are developed, designed, manufactured or distributed by Swiss companies or persons, or projects that have been introduced to the Swiss market. Several packages can be submitted per entrant.
Young talents are also invited to enter their packaging ideas for the Swiss Packaging Award: Participation is free of charge for pupils and students. They will be judged by the jury in the corresponding "Young Talent Award" category. The prerequisite is that the products have not been launched on the market.
Eight awards, new special prize
The Swiss Packaging Award is presented in the categories Sustainability, Convenience, Design, Marketing and Technology / Construction / Machine Systems. In addition, there are the Young Talent Award and the Audience Award as special awards.
The special jury prize will be awarded for the first time. Here, the members of the jury will award outstanding submissions from their point of view. Packaging of all materials is eligible for the competition. The focus is on promoting and honoring holistic packaging solutions, regardless of the packaging material. A jury of 16 experts nominates up to three packages per category in a judging process lasting two days, from which a winner is chosen.
Consumers vote for the public winner online
Consumers decide who receives the audience award. They use e-voting to select their favorite packaging of the year. The public vote will take place from February 15 to April 15, 2023.
By participating in the award, individuals and companies can benefit from the opportunity to present themselves to a broad public. A win or a nomination brings the company high attention, confirms the own performance and motivates the employees. All award-winning and nominated packaging, as well as the companies or individuals involved in it, may use the official Swiss Packaging Awards signet. The winners also automatically qualify for the World Star Packaging Awards, the international packaging competition of the World Packaging Organization WPO.
The award ceremony of the Swiss Packaging Award will take place on June 8, 2023.
