New York Festivals Advertising Awards: Two precious metals for Swiss agencies

The jury presented a total of 12 Grand Awards, 82 Gold Towers, 90 times Silver and 119 times Bronze at this year's awards. The "Best of Show" title went to McCann Paris for "The Bread Exam".

With its "Lakers Red" beer for Schützengarten, there was gold for Wunderman Thompson. In the spring of 2021, the brewery had brewed a beer limited to 500 liters - with water that stood from the ice field of the SCRJ Lakers (Werbewoche.ch reported). The idea behind it: After a difficult season - without an audience due to corona - something should be given back to the fans.

There was silver for the "Glacier Campaign" by Scholz & Friends for Mastercard. In autumn/winter 2021 - during the first campaign phase - every person who paid with a Mastercard automatically contributed to the preservation of Swiss glaciers: For every transaction, Mastercard donated the area of a payment card to glacier protection film, which insulates the snow and ice masses during the warm summer temperatures. Currently, the cover technology is being tested and optimized in a second phase in cooperation with the Cover Project Foundation - in order to install the glacier protection films once they have been completed and suitable areas have been identified.
