SRF Correspondent Luzia Tschirky is Swiss "Journalist of the Year
This year's ranking of "Journalists of the Year" has broken records. 1280 people voted - and left more than 2200 comments.
In an interview with the Swiss journalist:in Luzia Tschirky talks about her everyday life as a correspondent in Russia - and her abduction in Minsk earlier this year. The interview can also be found in the podcast "Entre Nous" on all common platforms. In second place was Italy correspondent Oliver Meiler from the Tages-Anzeiger, third place goes to Carlos Hanimann, Republic.
Editor-in-Chief of the Year is the Megafon collective from Bern's Reitschule, which received attention last year primarily for its dispute with Tamedia. Philipp Loser from the Magazine is columnist of the year. His editor Bruno Ziauddin describes how a good column works - and why Loser meets these specifications so precisely. Hanspeter Bäni is Video Journalist of the Year. He receives the award shortly before his retirement. Christof Gertsch and Mikael Krogerus were voted Reporters of the Year by a wide margin. Newcomer of the Year is Petar Marjanovic from Watson. There were numerous comments on all the nominees, some of which are published unchanged in the current issue of Swiss journalist:in presents.
