Best of Swiss Apps 2021: This is the shortlist
Best of Swiss Apps published the shortlist for the Best of Swiss Apps Awards 2021 on Thursday. Out of 183 entries, the jury has selected 51 favorites.
On Monday, the 63-member jury had evaluated the submitted projects according to the respective criteria of the categories.
This year, app makers sent 183 submissions into the race in eleven categories. This is 46 projects fewer than in 2020, when there were 229 entries. Jury chairman Christof Zogg spoke of a "corona lag" in this context on jury day. According to him, the lower number is an outlier in the statistics, which is due to the pandemic. Before 2021, the number of category submissions grew steadily - this trend should continue in the future, Zogg said.
51 projects selected
A total of 51 projects made it onto the shortlist in at least one category. These submissions are among the best digital projects of the year and can hope for further awards at the award night: Bronze, Silver or Gold in the respective categories. The projects nominated for the title "Master of Swiss Apps" will be announced on October 7.
Readers' choice mid-October
The readers' poll for the "Master of Swiss Apps" starts on October 14. The subscribers of the Net tickersthe newsletter of Netzwoche. The award night on November 3 will show who will win the trophy and can call themselves Master of Swiss Apps 2021.
