Liberté cartoonist awarded for cartoon of the year 2019
As part of the exhibition "Drawn", which took place at the Museum of Communication Bern from December 12, 2019 to February 9, 2020, the satirical magazine Nebelspalter awarded the audience prize for the best caricature 2019. The winner for the second year in a row is Alexandre Ballaman.
His article "Hey! Ueli!" is published on May 17, 2019 in the daily newspaper La Liberté appeared. In total, more than 200 caricatures by 50 Swiss press illustrators were up for selection, the "Gezeichnet" organizers wrote in a media release on Friday.
Other places were taken by Christof Biedermann (for "Der Petwal" in the magazine Reformed), Gabriel Giger (Valais Messenger) and Ruedi Widmer (Tages-Anzeiger). The 13th edition of "Drawn" will open again on December 11, 2020 at the Museum of Communication in Bern. (SDA)
