Cannes Lions plays it safe with alternative date
Although Cannes Lions 2020 is currently still scheduled to take place in June as planned, the organization has secured an alternative date - October 26-30, 2020.

In a statement on Wednesday, the organizers write that they are continuously monitoring the situation. The new alternative date is intended to secure the staging of this year's Cannes Lions in any case, should further developments make a staging in June impossible. In case of a staging in October, tickets, sponsorship arrangements and bookings would remain valid.
The public will be informed of any postponement of the festival no later than April 15. Weekly updates on the status of the event shall also be provided in advance. Regardless of the event date, all submitters should continue to follow the previous process and schedule. (pd/swi)
