The 40 or so teams of participants had an exciting task to complete from this year's main sponsor Swisscom: Achieve awareness for myCloud among young people under 30 and create awareness that data security is central and should be an important decision aspect when choosing a cloud provider.

"We are thrilled by the large number of very high-quality works submitted and are pleased that there was so much interest in the MyCloud Challenge. We are already keeping our fingers crossed for the winners in Cannes," says Rose Portmann, Communication Manager at Swisscom.

For the fourth year in a row, the awards ceremony was hosted by Tama Vakeesan, who announced the shortlisted and winning entries in the categories. Werbewoche is a media partner of the Young Creatives Awards.

There was a surprise in the Cyber category. "The quality of the ideas could not convince our jury of twenty. The contrast to the excellent works in the three other categories would have been so great that the jury decided not to award any prizes," announced Philipp Skrabal, ADC Vice President and main responsible for the Young Creatives Awards. "Instead, we decided to draw the team place to participate in the Cannes Young Lions Competition in the Cyber category among all shortlist winning teams." The subsequent drawing revealed: the "wildcard" goes to Judith Maurer and Moritz Bauer, shortlist winners in the Film category.
