ADC Awards 2018: New open for current works and with later submission deadline

To ensure that current works also have a chance of winning an award, the ADC Call for Entries now allows the submission of works that have been conceived and published by February 28, 2018. The deadline for entries for the ADC Awards 2018 has been postponed to March 1, 2018.

Until now, only works conceived and published between January 1 and December 31 of the previous year were eligible for the ADC Awards: Ergo between January 1 and December 31, 2017 for the 2018 ADC Awards.

The ADC Switzerland board has decided to extend this period by two months, according to a press release. This means that works conceived and published between January 1 and February 28, 2018 are now eligible. However, works that were published in January and February 2018 and submitted for the ADC Awards 2018 are excluded from the 2019 judging process and may not be submitted a second time. Entrants can therefore decide for themselves in which year they would like to submit work.

Gioia-Bozzato

This will give current campaigns a greater chance of winning an award, especially at the ADC of Europe. The adjustment is in response to a need from companies and agencies, says ADC Switzerland boss Gioia Bozzato when asked by the Advertising Week. The decision had nothing to do with the quality of the previous submissions.

The submission deadline for the ADC Awards 2018 is now Thursday, March 1, 2018. The adapted Call for Entries can be found on the ADC website. (pd/ank)
