Digitec Galaxus becomes "Digital Marketer of the Year" 2018

IAB Switzerland presented the eighth "Digital Marketing Award" at the D:PULSE digital marketing conference on February 1, 2018. Awards were presented for outstanding achievements in the categories "Digital Marketer of the Year", "Digital Agency of the Year" and "Digital Newcomer of the Year".

"We are delighted to be able to present the Digital Marketing Award on such a large scale! The 8th award ceremony was one of the highlights of our major digital marketing event D:PULSE, which successfully entered its second round with over 1,200 visitors," summarizes Roger Baur, Managing Director of the IAB.

The Digital Marketer of the Year award is given to a company that has made a special contribution to the digital development of the advertising market. The nominees were: Calanda, Digitec Galaxus, Helsana as well as Swisscom. The 2018 winner is Digitec Galaxus. Digitec Galaxus invests a lot in digital channels and always implements their campaigns in an innovative and cutting-edge way. With Digital out of Home, they have uniquely implemented networking to other channels. The award was presented by René Plug, Admeira and SWA Managing Director Roland Ehrler.

In the Digital Agency of the Year category, the prize was awarded for the second time this year. The award was given to an agency that is at the cutting edge of technology, business and advertising. The 2018 award winner is the Sir Mary agency. With a new concept of client work, Sir Mary AG has found a way to win many new clients. Their high strategic competence as well as a strong focus on consulting and creation set them apart. The award was presented by Martin Radelfinger, Goldbach Group and Roman Hirsbrunner, President of LSA Leading Swiss Agencies. Other nominated agencies were: Hoy and Yourposition.

The 2018 "Digital Newcomer of the Year" award went to Natalie Achermann, Online Marketing Manager at the Swiss Red Cross Canton of Zurich. Natalie Achermann was the participant with the best final grade in the "Diploma Course Digital Marketing - Basic Course" of the IAB Academy last year. The "Digital Newcomer of the Year" award highlights the special importance attached to the topic of training at IAB Switzerland.
