Passerelle" media prize goes to Fribourg and Valais

The Fribourg radio journalist Patrick Mülhauser and the Valais television station Kanal 9/Canal 9 have been awarded the "Prix Passerelle" award.

With the "Prix Passerelle", the Berne Foundation for Radio and Television honors programs that promote understanding between the German-speaking and French-speaking parts of Switzerland. The prize has been awarded every two years for over 30 years.

This year it is endowed with 8000 Swiss francs, as the Berne Foundation for Radio and Television announced on Friday. SRF correspondent Patrick Mülhauser from Fribourg is being honored, among other things, for a report from Fribourg's Schönberg district. The report was broadcast on Radio SRF 1's Regionaljournal. Kanal9/Canal9 receives the award for the bilingual entertainment program "Walliwood".

The television prize of 4000 Swiss francs goes to SRF documentary filmmaker Urs Sloksnath and TeleBielingue journalist Adrian Reusser. The equally valuable radio prize goes to information journalist Joël Hafner (Regionaljournal Radio SRF) and cultural journalist Noëmi Gradwohl. (Radio SRF 2 Culture). (SDA)
