Bernese Communication Award goes to "Mister Globetrotter" André Lüthi
André Lüthi, CEO of the Globetrotter Group, has received the seventh Bern Communication Award. The Berner Public Relations Gesellschaft BPRG honors him for his continuous, authentic and convincing communication, with which he gives his own company and sometimes the entire travel industry a face.
The award ceremony took place on Wednesday evening at the Kultur Casino Bern.
He approaches people, enjoys being in the limelight and is considered a gifted rhetorician. He is "Mister Globetrotter" and sometimes the mouthpiece of the entire travel industry: André Lüthi has turned his passion into a profession and is not only a convincing CEO and Chairman of the Board of Directors of his companies, but also a natural communicator.
"I like doing media work," says Lüthi, who has been personally involved in communications work for 15 years and has built up a direct line to many editors-in-chief. Not only the Globetrotter Group companies and their CEO benefit from this network of contacts, but also media professionals, for example when Lüthi opens the door to North Korea for an SRF camera team thanks to his contacts.
Cla Martin Caflisch, President of the Berner PR Gesellschaft, is impressed by Lüthi's communications work: "He explains and debates with passion, brings his wealth of knowledge and experience to bear in a targeted manner, has an almost limitless network and impresses with charm and eloquence both in front of the camera and in personal conversations. This is why we are awarding him the Bern Communication Prize."
Every year, the BPRG awards the Communication Prize to a person who has achieved exceptional communicative achievements without any specialist training. The winner receives a specially created work, which this year was designed by Bernese illustrator Boris Pilleri, and demonstrates his or her communication skills in a talk with Sonja Hasler.
The Berne Public Relations Society BPRG is one of the seven regional societies of the national professional association PR Suisse with over 1500 members.
