16 jury presidents for Cannes Lions 2017 have been selected

Cannes Lions on Thursday evening released the names of 16 jury presidents 2017.

Jose Papa, Managing Director of Cannes Lions, said, "We are delighted to present such an impressive team of jury presidents. Each of them has been selected based on their skills and experience in their respective disciplines. Each member of this knows how to recognize creative excellence, as they have all been responsible for award-winning work themselves during their careers."

The individual jury presidents are presented below with a quote. The jury presidents of the categories "Creative Effectiveness", "Entertainment" and "Innovation and Health". will be announced in the coming weeks.

Jury President Cyber Lions:

Colleen DeCourcy, Global Chief Creative Officer, Wieden + Kennedy, Global, says, "This is the 20th year there will be at Cannes and exactly ten years have passed since I last presided over this jury. What I'm looking for in the works is some kind of proof of progress. Have we moved the ball forward? Are we more sure of what means, or less? My hope is to capture a progressive definition of this category that exudes the same kind of urgency and discomfort that it did in the early days."

Jury President Digital Craft Lions:

Henry Cowling, Creative Director, UNIT9, UK, says: "I'm looking forward to sitting down with some of the brightest people in our industry. And to the debates, the passionate defenses, the jealousy and gnawing self-doubt that comes from engaging with the best work in the world. Jury President Direct Lions:

Ted Lim, chief creative officer, Dentsu Brand Agencies, APAC, says, "It's not rocket science. So I'm not going to make it look like that. Jury President Glass Lions:

Jury President Media Lions:
