The digital fan scarf from FC St.Gallen is this smart
FC St.Gallen 1879 has launched a digital innovation and now offers its season subscription in the form of a fan scarf with a built-in NFC chip.
As part of the annual subscription campaign, season subscribers receive an annual FC St.Gallen 1879 loyalty gift. In the
last year, for example, an FCSG crime novel was written for subscribers that thematically matched the season's leitmotif of "lightning.
This year, all season subscribers will receive a fan scarf that contains an NFC chip from the Swiss company CollectID and can thus be used as a season ticket. Once the season ticket has been purchased, the scarf can be activated directly via a specially developed online solution. The scarf can then be used as an admission ticket at the stadium turnstile.
Using the NFC chip in the scarf and a mobile app from collectID, FCSG can additionally communicate directly with its fans and, for example, share special editorial content or launch competitions.
