APG|SGA: Good marks for sustainability

In the climate ranking of the global environmental organization CDP, APG|SGA was awarded an A- grade for its strategy and its implementation.

APG|SGAFor its efforts in terms of corporate transparency and climate protection, APG|SGA was awarded a prize by the non-profit environmental organization CDP was awarded the grade A-. APG|SGA is thus one of the companies that are particularly committed to sustainability in a global comparison. For example, APG|SGA is aiming to halve its net CO2 emissions by 2027 compared to 2017 and to achieve a neutral CO2 balance by 2035, is investing in a new photovoltaic system at its Zurich site and in the operation of electric commercial and business vehicles, and uses 100 percent green energy from renewable sources. In addition, optimizations to building technology and commitments in the value chain, as well as energy-saving product innovations, are helping to ensure that the company is on track to meet its climate target.

Using a comprehensive questionnaire, the CDP annually assesses whether companies are effectively contributing to limiting the global temperature increase to 1.5 degrees Celsius compared to pre-industrial levels. CDP uses a detailed and independent methodology to assess participating companies, rating them on a scale from A (best result) to D-. It takes into account criteria such as completeness of disclosure, awareness and management of environmental risks, and the exercise of best practices related to environmental leadership, accompanied by the setting of ambitious, meaningful and fact-based targets.
