Trade fair for sheet metal, steel and metal: this was Ble.ch 2024

The Swiss trade fair for sheet metal, metal and steel processing takes stock after three days. In addition to the exhibition area, there was a focus on robot technology.

Ble.ch, the trade fair for sheet metal, metal and steel processing in Switzerland, took place from March 13 to 15 at the Bernexpo site in Bern. The result: over three days, the trade fair brought together manufacturers and suppliers of machines and complete solutions with a qualified specialist audience. More than 100 exhibitors presented innovations to around 5,000 trade visitors and practical examples provided platforms for expert discussions during the three-day event.

On the exhibitor side, the wide range of new products and innovations from over 100 companies attracted a great deal of interest. All sectors were represented, from traditional family businesses to global industry specialists. The exhibitors were delighted with the diverse specialist audience, from apprentices to specialists.

The industry get-together in Bern offered insights into new digitalized processes and future technologies from the fields of robotics, machines, products, systems and tools. Visitors experienced variety and action in the special zones: they were able to witness live welding of aluminum and steel ornaments or watch how masters of their trade took red-hot iron directly from the forge. In the special SwissRobotics zone, member companies from the Swissrobotics.net section demonstrated everything that is possible with robot technology: from simple handling tasks and the machining of the smallest parts to cooperation between humans and robots. In this special zone, several members presented their products and expertise live with real demonstrators. The focus was on the latest technologies, which were presented in a playful and realistic way.
