Galaxus comes live to the opera stage

The Opernkollektiv Zürich and Galaxus take the piss out of the glamorous image of the big stage and the immaculate world of advertising. From Thursday, the audience will experience Galaxus advertising up close.

The collaboration with the Zurich Opera Collective opens up a new dimension for the Galaxus campaign - with live advertising.

Galaxus breaks into its Commercials at Under the motto "We have the products, you have the life", Galaxus has been challenging the slick façade of the advertising world for years: instead of idealized depictions of life, Galaxus focuses on humour, transparency and honesty. The collaboration with the Zurich Opera Collective now opens up a new dimension for this campaign - with live advertising. Because the collective's current play "Viva la Mamma!" plays with the idea that life is often turbulent and unpredictable. 

The production provides an amusing insight into the chaos and unpredictability of an opera rehearsal - a reflection of life with its ups and downs. We won't give too much away about the opera itself at this point, just this much: Galaxus will be involved with a live advertising interlude. "Transferring the disruption of the ideal advertising world to the opera stage was a creative challenge," says Daniel Kobi, Art Director at Digitec Galaxus. "For Galaxus, live advertising is an interesting and unconventional experiment that is in line with the campaign slogan 'We have the products, you have the life' an additional dimension. We are excited and looking forward to the result!"
