Pascal Schär manages Sedrun Disentis Tourism on an interim basis
The Board of Directors of Sedrun Disentis Tourismus SA (SDT) has decided not to fill the position of the departing Tourism Director Simona Barmettler for the time being. Pascal Schär will take over on an interim basis.
Pascal Schär is Managing Director of Andermatt Sedrun Disentis Marketing AG (ASDM) the operational management of SDT. ASDM already took over the destination marketing of SDT in 2021 by mandate.
It has not yet been possible to find a suitable successor for the departing tourism director of the destination Disentis Sedrun, Simona Barmettler. "In order to ensure the continued operation of Sedrun Disentis Tourismus SA (SDT), we have found an interim solution with Andermatt Sedrun Disentis Marketing AG (ASDM)" says Silvio Schmid, VRP of the tourism organization. Pascal Schär, Managing Director of ASDM, will take over the operational management of SDT on a mandate basis from mid-October 2022 until at least next spring.
"Thanks to this solution, we gain the necessary time to design a sustainable future plan and ensure a clean handover," Silvio Schmid continues. Simona Barmettler will leave SDT at the end of October 2022.
Simona Barmettler took over the operational management of Sedrun Disentis Tourism about five years ago - in a situation that was not easy. Since then, she has successfully managed the tourism business with great sensitivity, foresight and commitment. During this time, the transfer of the organization from an association to a stock corporation also took place. The Board of Directors thanks Simona Barmettler for the good cooperation and wishes her all the best in her new sphere of activity in Central Switzerland.
ASDM, a subsidiary of Bergbahnen Disentis AG and Andermatt-Sedrun Sport AG, pursues the goal of marketing the skiing, hiking, biking and vacation area Andermatt-Sedrun-Disentis nationally and internationally. In this context, ASDM was already mandated by SDT in 2021 to holistically implement the destination marketing Disentis Sedrun. Pascal Schär, Managing Director of ASDM, is a proven tourism expert with many years of professional experience as a tourism director. Schär is very familiar with the Disentis Sedrun region, not least thanks to his work in 2004-2006 as Head of Service Public at Sedrun Disentis Tourism.
